How Do I Meet People?

Vineyard Christian Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community.  There is something for everyone.  We like to use four words to describe how you can join in on what’s going on:

Connect
Grow
Serve
Go
We CONNECT with God first and then He makes it possible for us to connect with other believers who enable us to CONNECT with a church family.  These interconnected relationships empower us to welcome people who are not yet a part of our church family or who are pre-believers.  We are purposeful to make it a priority to build positive, long lasting relationships with people at work, in school and community and at home.
New follower of Jesus?  Long-time believer?  We have ways for you to GROW no matter where you are with Jesus.  As we learn and obey God’s Word we GROW.  However, GROW-ing is not just gaining knowledge.  We need more than information.  We need to read and reread the Bible discovering something fresh and inspiring each day, then act to apply it.
It’s not just the pastors who get to “do the stuff” – it’s everyone.  We’ll show you  ways you can “get in he game” and SERVE.

SERVE reminds us of our responsibility to come alongside fellow believers to SERVE others where ever we are.  Every believer working together is required for the church to function as God intended.  God gifts and empowers us to serve and multiplies our efforts in exponential ways.  Each believer has been given a gift for the common good.

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the SERVANT of all. -Mark 9:35.
GO moves us outside the church walls and into our community and world.  GO-ing is fed by a desire to experience firsthand God’s work in the lives of others, recognizing we are one instrument He is using.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20
